Unhappy members of the Campaign for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) blocked Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s convoy on Wednesday while he was on his way to the office in Osun State.
According to a Naij report, the group staged its protest in one of the lanes along the Gbogan-Ibadan Expressway in Osogbo, carrying anti-corruption placards and blocking the Governor’s convoy in front of the Federal High Court.
The group blamed corruption for the current crisis facing the country and chanted that looted money could be providing much-needed infrastructure across Nigeria.
The group was later dispersed by security officials and the police.
Upon meeting with the CDHR, Governor Aregbesola praised their actions against human rights abuses and urged the group to continue supporting the war against corruption.
