MP Moses Kuria Abuses A Journalist

Controversial Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria has yet again hit the limelight after he engaged in a fight with a local journalist.

The MP who has had several run-ins with the law for various offences including incitement to violence, hate speech and fanning ethnic hatred, on Tuesday  abused a Standard media journalist on his Facebook page creating an uproar.

Trouble started when the journalist, Daniel Psirmoi sent the legislator a text message requesting an interview from him over a story he was chasing.

Psirmoi wanted to find out Kuria’s experience after being summoned by the Criminal investigations Department (CID).

“We want to know your experience and if you feel the summons are PR exercises as some people allege,” the journalist wrote.

But Kuria, a minute later replied back and told off the journalist rudely wondering why he is only contacted for negative stories.

“Can’t you call me for a positive story one day? You think I am in the business of filling your newspaper with yet another of the maggot infested negative stories? You can quote that, ” replied Kuria.

The uncouth MP then proceeded to screenshot and post the altercation on his Facebook page displaying the journalists number to anyone who cared to read, with a caption: ‘we need to invest more in educating our media’.

Several people were angered by his update and told him off in his Facebook page.

“You have prudently and obtusely displayed your level of arrogance and lack of reason, act like an adult,” Miche Lee Powell told him.

“Who elected you to the Post of MP? That is uncouth of you?” posted Darius KTN.

“You should invest in yourself to be good and good will follow you.. You stooped too low Mheshimiwa,” observed Fed Willie.
