Senate leader, Ali Ndume, has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to desist from plots to unseat Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
The Senate Leader was reacting to the position of some PDP senators that the opposition would produce Saraki’s successor if he was removed from the position.
PDP Senate caucus has vowed that it would produce the next Senate President in the event that the incumbent was forced out of office.
Saraki is currently facing a corruption trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
Ndume told the PDP senators not to play God, noting that Saraki was brought in by God and He alone would know who will be Saraki’s successor if he is ever convicted by the CCT.
