Aluko And I Prostrated For Fayose – Ex-Ekiti Speaker

Former factional Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dele Olugbemi, has debunked claims by former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Tope Aluko that Fayose stage-managed the reconciliatory meeting.

Olugbemi revealed how he allegedly took Aluko, to Governor Ayodele Fayose at Eko Hotels in Lagos state on Sunday.

He said he was surprised that Aluko addressed the press and claimed that he spoke to the journalists under duress, after willingly attending the Sunday night meeting with the governor.

Aluko, however denied meeting Olugbemi, adding that he was being used by the governor to sustain the propaganda against him.

“It is all lies. It is part of the plot to sustain the propaganda against me. Olugbemi is an appointee of the governor in the State Universal Basic Education Board. So, he is doing the bidding of his master.

“I only saw him when he barged into the meeting with the governor. I didn’t have any discussion with him and couldn’t have gone with him to the meeting. He is only being used.”

Stating that he facilitated the meeting out of genuine concern for peace, Olugbemi argued that Aluko could not deny re-affirming that Fayose remained “his mentor, leader and father.” Besides, he quoted Aluko as having said that all his previous actions were devil’s work and that he was under spiritual attack when he was saying all those things against the governor.
