The Kogi House of Assembly complex was on Wednesday sealed off by security agents on the order of the National Assembly following an unresolved leadership crisis.
Armed policemen blocked the main entrance to the building and prevented the lawmakers from accessing the building.
The lawmakers were to conduct budget defence on Wednesday.
The road leading to the complex was also barricaded by armed policemen, who subjected assembly staff to scrutiny and only allowed them in upon confirmation of their employment status through their identity cards.
The security operatives claimed they were acting on instructions from the commissioner of police in the state and the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The Senate and the House of Representatives had ordered the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase to seal the complex following the leadership crisis rocking the House.
