The visit by DP Ruto to Kisii land is a waste of time, MPs in the region have said.
The DP has traversed Gusii land in recent times seeking votes to boost the Jubilee Coalition tally come the 2017 General Elections.
On Sunday, he held two fundraisers in the region.
South Mugirango MP Manson Nyamweya says that the trips are a waste of time and energy.
” The trips are a waste. They will not get anything from Kisii land despite all the effort he is putting in,” he said.
He added that the region was an ODM zone and that the DP is not welcome to spread his lies about development to the people of the region.
” The DP has been here many times and has still not delivered anything worthwhile. The promises he has brought here in the past have not been fulfilled. We are tired,” he stated.
Ruto over the weekend asked the region to support Jubilee come the 2017 General Elections after getting behind the CORD coalition in the last election.
