Nyeri police have arrested a man in connection to a fire incident that killed three children in Mathari village, Nyeri Central sub-count.
The suspect was arrested just a day after allegedly committing the offence.
He allegedly set a house ablaze with the three children aged between one and five together with some livestock including dogs and hens.
According to Nyeri Central OCPD, Charles Rotich, the man had personal differences with the family.
Residents, who declined to be named, said the man was married to a relative of the children, whom he had separated with.
They said the man had made efforts of re-uniting with the family but in vain and that he had made death threats to the family.
Rotich said the suspect would be arraigned in court for trial and that he would be charged with arson and murder.
