A policewoman based in Mariakani on Monday allegedly shot her husband after she accused him engaging in extra marital activities, reports The Star.
The enquiry which quickly turned violent resulted in her husband being shot in the abdomen.
Kilifi County Police Commander, David Kerina confirmed the shooting and he was rushed to Pandya Memorial Hospital.
The issue of gun control has been an increasing issue.
In the last two months crimes related to the use of police firms have risen.
Last week three police officers were shot in just seven days and another critically injured.
