David Mark Escapes Death After Been Greeted By ‘Rains Of Bullets’ In Benue

Two-term senate president, David Mark reportedly escaped assassination on Friday after his convoy was allegedly attacked during his visit to Agatu local government of Benue.

Naij reported on Saturday that Mark was on a fact finding mission to the local government following the destruction caused by Fulani herdsmen, when he was welcomed by “rains of bullets”.

The attack was, however, swiftly repelled by security agents.

No one was injured or killed.

Mark was with Comrade Abba Moro, Nigeria’s former interior minister, Honourable Ezekiel Adaji, a member of the House of Representatives and others when the incident happened.

Mark won the re-run elections into the upper chambers about a week ago.
