A man from Owa-Alero, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria, has reportedly killed his girlfriend in a hotel room for allegedly infecting him with gonorrhoea.
According to Punch, Ekanem Ikot, 31, fled the hotel following the incident on Monday.
The lifeless body of Edith Owei, 27, was left on the ground, with witnesses saying the two had been in a relationship for close to six months.
Unconfirmed reports indicated that Ikot killed his girlfriend after he noticed gonorrhea symptoms after he made love to her.
Police said they were yet to be briefed on the matter.
