Nigeria: Forum Throws Weight Behind APC Imo Candidate

Abuja – The Ndi Igbo Advancement Forum (NIAF) has urged residents in Imo North Senatorial zone to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming elections.

Dr Ogemdi Ukaoha, NIAF President, said trends from previous polls indicated ethnic and religious bias.

“The outcome of those sentiments has turned around to become the highest catastrophe of Igbo politics in recent times,” he said.

Ukaoha thus urged Okigwe people to vote for the APC candidate, Benjamin Uwajumogu, in the forthcoming Okigwe senatorial rerun elections due this month.

“This is in a bid to avoid the repetition of the mistake of the past,” he said.

He was hopeful the candidate would  develop zone and improve their political and business pursuits.
