Abuja – Federal civil servants have been urged to complement government’s efforts towards the attainment of the change agenda of the present administration.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, made the call in Abuja while declaring open the second Batch Structured Mandatory Assessment –Based Training Programme (SMAT-P).
“Every Federal Public Servant is required to be diligent, dedicated and committed to their duties and responsibilities to ensure effective and efficient service delivery to the citizens of Nigeria,” she said
“As the country passes a phase of economic difficulties occasioned by the global recession, the Head of Service said further that, all hands must be on deck to achieve the goals and aspirations of our people as articulated in the Government’s policies and programmes.”
Oyo-Ita said that through SMAT-P, Federal public servants on Salary Grade Levels 08-16 would be offered opportunities in batches, to enhance their potentials, capacities and capabilities, which are expected to impact positively on their jobs and thus improve wealth creation in the service.
She said the pilot scheme of SMAT-P was successfully rolled out after the launch of the programme by President Muhammadu Buhari in September last year.
