Ayimba Relaxed Over Kenya’s Form

Nairobi – After only collecting ten points during the third leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series in Wellington, head coach Benjamin Ayimba has been relaxed and said that they are on course to mount a strong challenge at the Rio Olympic Games.

Ayimba also added that it takes time and patience to build a strong team and that they surely try and correct those going forward.

“The team is gelling well towards the crucial mid season tournaments and we expect to have a consistent side as we continue with out plan to nature new players in preparation to the Olympics,” he told capitalfm.co.ke.

“Fans expected us to replicate South Africa performance but this is a game and everybody wants to win. We as a team take it as an improvement.

“We have learnt our weakness and we are going to work on the mistakes we did in Wellington.”
