Nairobi – There was a bomb scare in Nairobi’s Eastleigh estate after a woman dropped a black paper bag and run after being ordered to stop by Police.
The incident took place in the junction of Eastleigh’s 10th and 11th street when the woman was ordered to stop by Police on patrol just after 2 AM Tuesday morning.
The package was later taken away by Police who discovered it was nothing to worry about.
” We called in bomb experts after a woman dropped a package in Eastleigh but later on it was found to be nothing serious,” Nairobi CID boss Kiberenge Seroney told News24.
The woman is yet to be located.
Kenya is on high alert following continued declarations by terror group Al Shabaab of impending attacks in the country.
