Bomb scare forces Egypt-bound plane to divert

Budapest – A passenger jet flying from Berlin to Hurghada in Egypt made an emergency landing in Budapest on Monday following a bomb threat, Hungarian police confirmed.

An explosives unit was searching the plane, police said.

TV reports from Budapest airport showed an aircraft of German carrier Condor.

Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh are Red Sea resorts popular with foreign tourists.
