Russian investigators took sand samples from the crash site and recovered victims’ bodies, but have not officially informed the investigation committee of their conclusions, the official says.
“We are awaiting clarification from the Russian authorities and a study of the evidence they found,” he says, “even though the official investigating committee has not reached these conclusions.”
