A 37-year-old man attempted to commit suicide by slicing off his man-hood with a sharp knife in Kranspoort,  pumalanga on Monday night. The unidentified man reportedly climbed into his bath tub and amputated both his man-hood and testicles, Middelburg Observer reported.

It is alleged the man placed the severed organs on the edge of the tub, but later became anxious, and alerted a security guard. The security guard immediately notified the man’s mother. Paramedics responded to the scene and found deep gashes on the man’s stomach and leg. He didn’t respond to paramedic’s questions, but paramedics say he was fully conscious.

Paramedics had to endure the sight of the severed man-hood and scrotum on the edge of the bath, right next to the man, while treating him. The man was taken to Groblersdal Hospital by Life24 ambulance services of Groblersdal. He was reportedly in a stable condition on Tuesday.
