Nigeria: Labour Party suspends Kogi State secretary

The national leadership of the  Labour Party ( LP) has suspended the Secretary of the party in Kogi State, reports Punch.

Ibrahim Itodo was suspended from office for alleged anti party activities and acts considered inimical to the interest of the party.

In a letter conveying the suspension order as signed by the National Secretary of the party, Barrister Olukayode Ajulo, the party said it viewed the alleged  acts to be contrary to the interest and progress of the party.

The suspension letter was communicated to Itodo through the state Chairman, Ibrahim Usman.

The suspension would last until the outcome of the disciplinary committee set up by the party to look into the matter.

The party said Itodo will be invited to defend himself against the allegations in due course.
