Congo Bans People From Wearing Full-face Islamic Veil

Congo-Brazzaville has banned people from wearing full-face Islamic veil.

BBC reports that the country also banned Muslims from other countries spending nights in mosques. Congo-Brazzaville is thought to be the first country in the region to ban full face veils and burkas.

The move is designed to counter extremism.
