Whatsapp and Viber Application Blocked By Burundi Government

According to this twitter user the government of Burundi has blocked WhatsApp and Viber access in the country following violent protests over the country’s President, Pierre Nkurunziza’s decision to run for 3rd term in office.

Protesters have been clashing with security operatives since late Saturday as five people have been reported dead.

The government believes that these apps are used in engaging and convincing others to join the protest.
