43 Rescued From Fleeing Boko Haram Members In Borno State,Nigeria

Fleeing people suspected to be members of the Boko Haram group have abandoned 43 people and 500 cows they recently abducted at gunpoint in Dalakalari, Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.

Confirming the report, Acting Director Army Public Relations Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, said troops had handed over the civilians and livestock to the local authorities.

“Eight suspected Boko Haram terrorists abducted some cattle rearers and livestock at gunpoint at Dalakalari general area, Mafa Local Government Area. Some well meaning people informed the military who swung into action and pursued the terrorists,” Usman said.

The Army spokesman added that the terrorists, sensing danger, ran and abandoned the victims and livestock before Panamri village.
