Nigerian Writer, Tolu Ogunlesi Celebrates 500,000 Twitter Followers

Nigerian journalist, poet, photographer, fiction writer, and blogger, Tolu Ogunlesi took to social media to express gratitude to his 500,000 followers after been on Twitter for 10 years.

37 year old Tolu born in the UK says he’s looking for suggestions on how to reward his fans and he is open to possible ways to commemorate his them.

American online microblogging and social networking service, Twitter is a platform through which users post and interact with messages known as “tweets”. Tweets were originally restricted to 140 characters, but on November 7, 2017, this limit was doubled to 280 for all languages except Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

Twitter was co-founded by American computer programmer and Internet entrepreneur Jack Patrick Dorsey known as Jack Dorsey in 2006, roughly 13 years ago.

Ogunlesi was appointed to the role of Special Assistant on Digital/New Media by President Muhammadu Buhari on 18 February 2016.

What shall one do to commemorate 10 years on Twitter and 500,000 followers?

Giveaway? (If yes, what – money? books? followers?)

Mass Twitter Amnesty? (extension of prerogative of mercy to blocked stakeholders?)

Commission congratulatory messages in the media?

Ideas welcome.
