The Golden Globe Awards will present another TV unique accomplishment trophy at one month from now’s broadcast and name it after its first beneficiary — comedic symbol Carol Burnett.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association said Tuesday the Carol Burnett Award — the little screen variant of the gathering’s film partner, the Cecil B. DeMille Award — will every year respect somebody “who has made remarkable commitments to TV on or off the screen.”
The principal Carol Burnett Award will, fittingly, go to Burnett, a five-time Golden Globe champ who was the primary lady to have an assortment draw appear, The Carol Burnett Show.

In a statement, association President Meher Tatna said: “We are profoundly grateful for her contributions to the entertainment industry and honored to celebrate her legacy forever at the Golden Globes.”
