Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has condemned in no uncertain terms the decision by some comedians to make a joke out of the last hours of Jesus Christ.
Registering his displeasure on Twitter, the Nollywood star argued that the act was disrespectful hence should not be encouraged.
He said: “Seen a couple of comedians making a joke out of the last hours of Jesus Christ. It is wrong. Totally unacceptable. Even if you have no respect for anyone at all, certainly not your maker. Fear and respect our Lord Almighty, our creator, Lord Jesus Christ.”
His post has sparked conversation on social media as several of his followers agree with him. According to them, he couldn’t have said it better.
Some commenters stressed that the saddest aspect of the matter is the fact that some Christians are guilty. They intimated that Muslims would never crack jokes about Prophet Mohammed.
