The chairperson of the Uganda Tourism Board, Daudi Migereko expressed, optimism that Quinn Abenakyo’s win will shed a positive light on Uganda.
Miss World Uganda who was crowned Miss World Africa at the just-concluded Miss World and is set to become Uganda’s next tourism ambassador.
“This is an opportunity to use Abenakyo as the face of Uganda to boost local tourism. Abenakyo put up an excellent performance and as a country, we are bound to benefit immensely as a result of the publicity Uganda has had as a result of that excellent performance,” Migereko said.
Abenakyo, 22, will take over from Zari who was appointed to the ambassadorial role two months ago by Tourism and Wildlife minister Godfrey Kiwanda.
