It was earlier reported on Monday, November 19, that famous Nigerian on-air-personality (OAP) Tosyn Bucknor died in her Lagos home.
The deceased was found dead by her husband when he returned from work. Following the death of the talented presenter, family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers took to their social media handle to pay their tribute.
was obvious that late Tosyn Bucknor touched the heart of people close to her in different ways and she will be greatly missed. Some of her friends have taken out time to build a website for the deceased where anyone can sign up and pen down their tribute. She is to be buried on Thursday, November 19, in Lagos.

Looking at the obituary poster, service of songs and night of tributes will be held on Wednesday, November 28, at Harbour Point Wilmot road, off Ahmadu Bellow Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, while the funeral service will take place the next day at Harvester International Church, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
Going through the tribute messages, a lady identified as Tolu disclosed that: “Tosyn, I love you but God loves you more. I started listening to you on radio in 2009 and I never stopped following you till you left us. You impact me in so many ways. You are a woman of different parts. I love the fact that you love Alternative and Rock songs.
I really connected to Contradiction. I know you are laughing in heaven with your angelic voice. I will never talk about you in past tense, never! You live forever in our hearts. Rest in peace Tosyn Bucknor. Rest in peace Contradiction. Rest in Peace Area Mama.” A family friend identified as Onanuga Modupe disclosed that: “Hey sis, I want to take time out and thank God for the life you lived, I thank God our path crossed and I thank God on how beautiful your life was, I loved you as a big sister and friend ,this is so hard, I look at videos and pictures and I it’s crazy that you are no more, the last time I saw you, you cried and still missed your dad, I know there is a celebration going on right up in heaven, you make me want to do better sis, live right, forgive and love life and everyone and also take my business seriously, I will always miss you and remember what a great person you were, sleep well beautiful, till we meet again.”
Correspondent once reported that in a press statement, the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, described Bucknor’s death as a great loss to the Nigerian creative industry. He, however, stated that the family should find solace in the fact that she lived her rather short life making great impacts in people’s lives. May her soul rest in peace.
