In Ghana, the name ‘Magnom’ is arguably one of the most mentioned when producing beat is involved. Joseph Bulley (his real name), is a music producer, who has been behind hit songs like Edem’s ‘Nyedzilo’, Asem’s ‘Wasted’, Sarkodie’s ‘Illuminati,’ among others.

Recently, he revealed how producing one of Sarkodie’s hit songs “Illuminati’’ boosted his social media ratings, and got him to a certain echelon. Speaking on Spyderlee Entertainment TV on Friday, he said, ‘Before even the nomination, when the song was big, it was crazy because everybody was complimenting the beat. The first day we released it, I got about thousand followers on twitter. No lie…every second, my mentions were just coming in. I’ve never had mentions like that ever in my life. My mentions were jammed. Before that, I even knew the sound was big. The sound was different. It was a whole different experience’.
Aside boosting Magnom’s portfolio, the song ‘Illuminati’ won MTV Africa Music’s Best Hip-Hop Award in 2014.
