Lear dropped the unexpected news during an interview with Black-ish creator Kenya Barris that Jimmie Walker, 69, and Ann Coulter, 55, are now dating.
“I love him,” he said of Walker, while speaking on his performance on Good Times, which he produced. “He’s a wonderful guy, but I’ll tell you something about him that’ll astound you: He dates Ann Coulter.”
After Barris responded, taken aback, with “No!,” Lear continued, “I’ve sat with [them] for an entire evening.” He also added that they’ve been seeing each other “for some time.”
Going on to describe this evening in greater detail, he interestingly describes the controversial conservative personality, admitting that even his wife was against meeting her at first, but ended up having a change of heart
“I am as serious as I can be, and I spent an evening at the same table with them, so I know,” he said. “As we’re driving to the dinner, I said, ‘Ann Coulter will be at the table.’ [And my wife] said, ‘I can’t sit at the table with Ann Coulter, I will not sit at the table with Ann Coulter.’ And Ann Coulter was a dreamy, delicious, sweet person.”
According to EW, rumors of Walker, 69, and Coulter, 55, dating are nothing new. In fact, they’ve been swirling for years, with Coulter even denying the claims, saying they’re just close friends, in the past.
