Former Nigerian Foreign Affairs Minister Ojo Maduekwe Dies at 71

Abuja – Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Ojo Maduekwe, died at his resident on Wednesday evening.

According to a Naij report, the former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretary gained the nickname “Ojo oni Keke” due to his push for the use of bicycles during the administration of late President Umar Yar’Adua, Vanguard reports.

Senator Walid Jibril has expressed his shock surrounding Maduekwe’s passing, with PDP Publicity Secretary Olisa Metuh confirming the sad news.

Maduekwe was 71 at his time of passing.
