Nakuru Residents Protest Against Kimani Ngunjiri’s Remarks

A section of Nakuru residents on Monday morning held peaceful protests against Bahati MP Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri.

They thronged Nakuru’s Kenyatta Avenue holding placards and chanting anti-Ngunjiri slogans following his remarks that Luos should be chased away from the County.

The residents led by a section of aspiring politicians and human rights activists drawn from various ethnic groups within the County accused the member of Parliament of fueling ethnic hate.

Kenyans also protested on social media via the hashtag #ArrestKimaniNgunjiri.

They told off the first time MP and asked him to keep off national politics and focus on his Bahati Constituency.

“Kimani Ngunjiri is not the 41 tribes spokesperson to lecture the Luos in this country, we want him to be accountable for his malicious incitement,” said a Nakuru-based activist.
