CORD Planning A Coalition Government, MP Says.

Kieni MP Kanini Kega, who is also a member of Jubilee coalition, has claimed that the opposition wants a slice in the current government by causing unrest in the country.

Kega said the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leaders have intentions of forming a coalition government in Kenya by mobilizing their supporters to protest in the streets and create disarray against the current government.

Speaking in his constituency at Munyu village, the MP warned that the anti-IEBC protests could lead to national violence.

“They want to ensure the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners are out of office and discredit their image. Later they will go for the Judiciary and the Supreme Court.

It is the two institutions that manned last polls and declared the winner. So at end last they will say Uhuruto were not validly elected because even the institutions that handled the polls are tainted,” Kega explained.

He told the constituents that the government was stable and that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were in control.

Kega further claimed that the CORD leaders including Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga have sensed defeat in 2017 general elections.

He observed that ‘a jungle law’ will not be allowed to sack commissioners working with independent institutions.

He added that he was ready to help the CORD parliamentarians draft a petition seeking removal of the polls body commissioners and table it in parliament.

Kega said the opposition leaders wants to remove the government through back door.
