The Jubilee government has corrupted the CBK Governor Patrick Njoroge, CORD leader Raila Odinga has said.
Raila says that by the Governor refusing to meet him and referring to him as a third party means that he has been corrupted by the Jubilee government and that he is now protecting impunity.
Raila says that Njoroge by denying him access to records of how the KES 250 billion Eurobond was spent was abating corruption.
“Until the government proves otherwise, we maintain the Eurobond money was raised abroad and stolen abroad,” Kalonzo told a joint press conference on Thursday.
The CBK Governor when asked for a detailed discussion on the proceeds, said that the Opposition chief, ODM party and the Cord coalition are third parties.
Raila and other said the move was unconstitutional and promised to write to CBK chairman Mohammed Nyaoga for an explanation on how the decision was reached.
” This is our country. It is our home. They cannot deny us such content. They have no right to,” he added.
Raila now insists that the KES 400 billion taken up by the government as the Eurobond has been lost since the government has refused to come clean over it.
The government insists that the Eurobond has been used in infrastructure development projects.
