Gov Fayose; enough of these comedies, it’s no longer funny!

Although freedom of speech is currently allowed in Nigeria, being one of the components of democracy which we have actually completely approved as system of government. Nevertheless, no one should take excessive benefit or relate this liberty with madness or irresponsible utterances that can cause individuals versus federal government .It is a height of irresponsibility and lack of patriotism for anyone to carry out a campaign against his country’s economic interest. By the provision of the Nigerian constitution, all issues relating to foreign policy and international relations are in the exclusive list. This means that only the Federal government can act in any such matters which include entering into bilateral agreements that involves economic and financial cooperation.
In as much as it is hard to overemphasize the role of the opposition in politics. It seems that Nigerian opposition politicians derives pleasure going against each other visa-vise a sitting government, having not the best interest of Nigeria and Nigerians at heart, but personal grudges, political animosity and senseless pursue of political relevance and popularity. Even before the inauguration of the present APC led administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State left no one in doubt of his hatred and strong opposition to the present government. The loud-mouth PDP Governor who has assumed the role of the party’s mouth-piece, criticizing every policies and programs of the Federal Government regardless of whether they are in line with the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians or not, has reduced governance to a comedy show in Ekiti State, being seen at odd places at odd hours, dressing like a garage tout to official engagements and running a ‘father Christmas’ administration as part of his ‘stomach infrastructure’ of dolling out food items to able bodied Ekiti citizens at the expense of providing jobs for the teaming unemployed youth and basic amenities to improve their well-being.
Governor Fayose, who can best be described as a comedian-governor unfortunately, has some of the Nigerian illiterates and semi-literate population who find him entertaining, has failed to make any common sense with his style of opposition politics since the advent of the Buhari administration. Apart from being a disgrace to the Nigerian political class, the show of shame put up in china a couple of days ago by standing in front of an empty podium, pretending to be addressing a crowd of Chinese businessmen and prospective investors when obviously the picture was actually that of Chinese passengers waiting for departure at a train station has further exposed the level of lunacy and the length to which Governor Fayose is willing to go to act out his comedy script. The number one citizen of Ekiti State is not only an embarrassment to the good people of the state he governs but his actions and utterances portray him as a psychiatric patient who urgently needs medical attention.
A responsible opposition network should be sensitive to the plight of the people. Moving Nigeria to a new height should be their obligation to the people who still believes in them. The southwest Governor who is a product of electoral fraud should be well informed and tutored that governance it not a comedy show but a serious business. Only an insane person would oppose a bilateral international economic investment deal meant to boost the nation’s economy and uplift the well-being of its citizenry in the face of the prevailing hardship. Irresponsibly opposing a well planned and beneficial economic policy of the Federal Government amount to an economic sabotage and treason and Governor Ayodele Fayose should be treated as an economic saboteur and charged for treason.
Criticizing the policies and programs of a government merely for the fun of it is the height of madness, irresponsibility and insensitivity to the pitiful plight of Nigerians. The legal and medical team of the Ekiti State Governor obviously has serious work to do.
