A Jubilee member of Parliament has said MPs from the TNA party are demanding huge bribes from President Uhuru Kenyatta in order to dissolve the party.
Bahati MP, Kimani Ngunjiri claimed that TNA MPs have refused to agree to the dissolution of the party until they are paid handsomely.
Speaking Monday in Nakuru town, Ngunjiri said that refusal by President Kenyatta to succumb to the MPs’ demands has delayed the planned Jubilee merger.
“The thing is that TNA MPs are trying to hold the President at ransom and demanding that they be paid before the dissolution of the party and this has contributed to the delay in the merger,” said Ngunjiri.
The MP said that his colleagues have been sending proxies to deliver their demands to the President and have vowed to delay the merger further unless they get what they want.
“They have vowed that the merger will not happen before 2017 unless they get the money and that is unfortunate,” he said.
