Nairobi – Police have shot dead 5 gangsters in Nairobi, with 5 others escaping after a botched robbery.
The 5 were shot dead Monday morning along survey area on Thika Road whilst they were trying to rob a bank and hardware along Highridge road in Nairobi’s Parklands.
Police say that they tailed the thugs all the way from Thika Town and followed them till the time they were ready to pounce.
” We have said that we are not joking about lawlessness in Nairobi and we are putting all those looking to commit crime on notice,” Nairobi Police boss Japheth Koome told News24.
5 others escaped, two with gun shot wounds.
” We have recovered two pistols, ceska pistols,” he added.
There is an ongoing manhunt for the remaining suspects.
