Video of Ghana Fire Service Personnel Arriving in a Taxi With Fire Extinguishers to Fight Fire Goes Viral

A video of Ghana Fire Service personnel arriving in taxi to fight fire, has gone viral after being shared online.


It is alleged that the incident occurred at Akyem Begoro in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Eyewitnesses said that while residents tried to put out the fire in a house in the area with buckets of water and sand, they also contacted the fire service department in the Eastern Region for help.

Firefighters however reported to the scene in a speeding taxi with cans of fire extinguishers. Residents disclosed that the fire engine of the Fire Service in the area had broken down for about a week, hence why the firefighters used a taxi as an alternative means of transport and fire extinguishers to battle the fire.
