Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu is undeniably a sweetheart and this is why her fans choose to stand with her whether in good or bad times!
After appearing in court for the Marijuana found in her house 2 years ago, Wema Sepetu decided to keep a low profile to avoid the unnecessary drama tainting her name.
So far she has managed to focus on her life and judging from the progress made; we can all agree that Wema Sepetu is about to take over the East African entertainment industry once again.
Wema Sepetu accused of fraud
Anyway Wema seems to be in trouble with the police as seen on her latest post on Instagram.
Apparently someone on Facebook has been using her name, photos and personal information to steal from innocent people.
This almost landed Wema in jail as she was accused of fraud. From her post, Wema said the complainant claims he paid the actress Tsh 400,000 and owes him a laptop.
Through her instagram page Wema went on to say:
However according to Wema Sepetu she has no facebook account but a fan page which has already been verified!
Don’t accuse me falsely
On the post Wema urged fans to be careful when it comes to buying items on celebrity pages.
This is because most of these pages are handled by totally different people with the aim of stealing from online shoppers.
As for now the lady has been cleared and is free as the police continue to investigate on the person running the Wema Sepetu page on Facebook.
Wema in court for sex tape
In 2018 Wema was arraigned and charged for sharing adult content on social media.
According to reports, one of her ex lovers went on to share a clip and photos from their alleged sex tape that left many calling her out on instagram.
Her lawyer however managed to convince the Kisutu Resident Magistrate in Dar Es Salaam to release her on cash bail.
However Tanzania being a country with strong rules against adult content on social media; the Sepetu family had to part with a large amount of cash inorder for Wema to walk free.
