South African AKA  Praised For Steering Clear Of Past Drama Maturely

South African vocalist, AKA seem to get the nods of his fans as thy are singing his praises after he handled questions about his ex-girlfriend Bonang Matheba and his arc rival, Cassper Nyovest.
The rapper was asked about the stars during an interview with former nemesis Pearl Thusi on MTV’s Behind the Story.

Viewers expected AKA to reveal the reason behind his break-up with Queen B and his never-ending feud with Cassper.

But the Fela in Versace crooner took the high road and revealed very little about his previous drama.

He mentioned Bonang and Cassper in passing but did not spill any tea.

Instead, AKA focused on his career and on-again relationship with DJ Zinhle
He admitted that he did Zinhle wrong and went as far as thanking Pearl for having the DJ’s back when he did her wrong.

“I never recognised what I had. But now I recognise what I have. And this time I’m not gonna f**k it up. Thank you Pearl for keeping things together when I was not there. Now I got it from here,” he said.

AKA’s fans applauded him for keeping it clean during the interview, saying it shows how much he has grown

“Supa mega killed the #BehindTheStoryWithAKA interview. He stayed professional and grown. It shows a lot about his character a true artist thru and thru (sic),” one Twitter user wrote.

Another added: “So basically ppl wanted a full hour abt how AKA failed… And him being negative abt Cass and Bee. Why y’all refuse to believe that he has grown from that. He gave respect to where its due.. And jabbed where it was needed.#BehindTheStory good morning good ppl. (sic).”

But not everyone liked the new “positive” AKA

Some thought the lack of drama and tea spilling made the interview boring.

“#behindthestory to be honest this interview was boring #BehindTheStoryWithAKA we see what you did right there #bored,” one tweep wrote.

AKA might not be talking about his beef with Cassper, but the Tito Mboweni rapper is making it very clear that they will never be friends again.

Cassper took to Twitter this week to moan about how all hip-hop artists do is hate each other instead of “fighting for anything that is hip hop”
One Twitter user pointed out that he did not practise what he preaches because he doesn’t like that “other broer” – AKA.

Without mentioning any names, Cassper responded that things got too personal between him at that “1 broer” for him to just let it go.

“That guy swore at my Mom. I will never ever get over that s**t. That’s my queen, my everything. That’s not music or competition. That’s the umost disrespect. Me and him are done for life.”
