South Africa through the African Renaissance & International Cooperation Fund (ARF), pledged R50 Million in humanitarian support to those affected by Cyclone Idai.
SAs International Relations Department said the outbreak of COVID-19 delayed the implementation of the project, which will now be completed by September 2021.
Cyclone Idai caused catastrophic damage, and a humanitarian crisis in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi, leaving more than 1,300 people dead and many more missing.
