READ Kanye West’s Forbes Interview About His Presidential Plans

After announcing his bid to run for president of the US, Kanye West has spoken to Forbes about his plans going forward, revealing that though he was sick battling Covid-19 for a while, he’s now focused on winning the presidential race.

The rapper, who made the announcement on Twitter over the weekend, told Forbes: “I am taking the red hat off, with this interview,” referring, of course, to Trump’s trademark red “Make America Great Again” baseball cap. “Like anything I’ve ever done in my life, I’m doing (this) to win,” he said.

But that wasn’t the only thing that had fans talking about the rapper and soon to be politician’s latest interview. From White House Wakanda to a few controversial statements, including those about a potential coronavirus vaccine, we’re looking at a few bombshells from the interview.

NO TO COVID-19 VACCINES

Though the rapper battled Covid-19 back in February – he said, laughing: “I remember someone had told me Drake had the coronavirus and my response was Drake can’t be sicker than me!” – he doesn’t believe in vaccines.

“It’s so many of our children that are being vaccinated and paralysed,” he said. “So when they say the way we’re going to fix Covid is with a vaccine, I’m extremely cautious. That’s the mark of the beast.”

WAKANDA WHITE HOUSE

Kanye says he plans on using Black Panther‘s Wakanda as a framework to transform the White House.

“That is a positive idea: you got Kanye West, one of the most powerful humans — I’m not saying the most because you got a lot of alien-level superpowers and it’s only collectively that we can set it free. Let’s get back to Wakanda.. like in the movie in Wakanda when the king went to visit that lead scientist to have the shoes wrap around her shoes. Just the amount of innovation that can happen, the amount of innovation in medicine—like big pharma—we are going to work, innovate, together.”

BIRTHDAY PARTY

Many people, including current president of the USA, Donald Trump, have pointed out that it may be too late for Kanye to run for president. So in his interview the fashion mogul revealed a new party – his party: Birthday Party.

Kanye said he was guided by his wife Kim Kardashian West and Elon Musk on Birthday Party and will run alongside Michelle Tidball, a preacher from Wyoming.

On the name of the new banner he said: “Because when we win, it’s everybody’s birthday.”

Kanye also revealed he’s never voted before, but has registered as of Monday.

HIS PRIORITIES

While he endorsed Trump during his run, Kanye no longer believes the president is doing the work he should be, despite liking “Trump hotels and the saxophones in the lobby”.

Though many of his policies and decisions on certain things are unclear – of taxes, he says: “I haven’t done enough research on that yet. I will research that with the strongest experts that serve God and come back with the best solution. And that will be my answer for anything that I haven’t researched. I have the earplug in and I’m going to use that earplug.” – he has spoken fondly of China, he’s against capital punishment, and his other priorities include addressing police brutality and cleaning up harmful chemicals in many of our products.

“Clean up the chemicals. In our deodorant, in our toothpaste, there are chemicals that affect our ability to be of service to God,” he said.
