President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto on Thursday met Jubilee MPs in a bid to convince the legislators change their stand over the Budget.
Sources within disclosed His excellence opted for talks with the law makers to have them move with speed and approve the Budget allocations.
This is after MPs on Tuesday threatened to block the Budget estimates in protest to Government decision to deny them the Constituency Development Funds CDF and instead channel the cash to Government Development Funds.
Also discussed in the meeting held at one of the hotels in Nairobi, is the number of members who will represent Jubilee in talks with Cord over IEBC issues.
It’s believed an agreement was reached to have the number reduced to seven from 11 with Gatundu South MP. Moses Kuria removed from the list following hate speech allegation cases.
