Oliseh Sorry For Outburst

Lagos – Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh is sorry over his video outburst on Sunday.

The former Nigeria captain was angry at critics, who he called ‘insane’ for faulting him after Nigeria crashed out of the African Nations Championship in Rwanda.

“Yes I apologised to the NFF for my earlier comments but I also made known my grievances to the NFF President when he called me on the phone. He admitted that they had their own flaws and I also apologised. It’s better for all concerned if we work together in harmony,” Oliseh told Complete Sports.

“I was complaining at the way we were treated and how I was being a victim of a clear sacking campaign orchestrated by opposition which hurts so much.”

Oliseh raised concern over the Kaduna venue for Super Eagles’ 2017 Nations Cup qualifier against Egypt, preferring Port Harcourt in order for players to fly directly from their various clubs to camp, but his concerns were overlooked by the Nigeria Football Federation.

But he now expects things to work better after the dialogue with Pinnick ahead of the game against Egypt.

“With this new assurance from the NFF I pray we set a common goal by winning our subsequent games ahead,” he added.

Nigeria host Egypt in Kaduna on March 23, before traveling for the return leg billed for five days later.
