MI Abaga has enjoyed an interesting build-up leading to the release of this album. Late 2017, he dropped the highly controversial single, ‘You Rappers Should Fix Up Your Lives’, throwing a shot at Nigerian rappers and the state of the genre in the country, which generated a lot of reactions online.

He then followed it up with the release of the very experimental project, Rendezvous, which witnessed a number of collaborations with younger talents.
