Nigeria: Abducted Bayelsa Girl, Ese, Released

Kano – Eight months after her abduction, fourteen-year-old Ese Oruru has been released.
She is now in the custody of Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase

She was released on Monday to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 1, Kano, Shuaibu Gambo, by the Kano Emirate Council.

Allegedly abducted by one Yinusa, a long standing customer of Ese’s mother, Rose Oruru, Ese was taken to Kano where she was converted to Islam and married by her abductor.
