Earlier this year she was on her way to becoming the youngest self-made billionaire and now she is in the top 5 of America’s wealthiest celebrities for 2018.
In August, Kylie made Forbes’ annual list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women as the sole owner of her cosmetics line, Kylie Cosmetics, with virtually no partners or capital.
On Tuesday, Forbes unveiled its list of America’s Wealthiest Celebrities 2018 revealing that the 21-year-old’s $900m net worth puts her in joint fifth position with megastar Jay-Z.
Director George Lucas takes the number one spot with a net worth of $5.4bn, following the Star Wars creator with $3.7bn is fellow filmmaker Steven Spielberg. Media mogul Oprah takes the third position with a net worth of $2.8bn and Michael Jordan in fourth with $1.7bn.
Rounding out Forbes’ list is David Copperfield in seventh place with a net worth of $875m, Diddy in eighth place with $825m and Tiger Woods and James Patterson tied in ninth place with a net worth of $800m each.

In an interview with WWD in 2017, momager Kris Jenner shared that they had planned a 25% increase in sales by the end of 2017, and they totally surpassed their expectations.
Speaking about the already successful business at the time, Kylie said: “Launch day, I refreshed the page about a minute after we launched and everything was sold out. I thought there was a glitch at first.”
Speaking to Forbes magazine earlier this year, Kylie revealed she struggled to find something to do on her own, given her family’s status, but later found her niche with the help of social media.
“Social media is an amazing platform; I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.”
