Kenya’s COVID-19 Cases Surpass 103,000 Mark

The number of COVID-19 infections in Kenya rose beyond the 103,000 mark on Monday after the ministry of health reported 147 new cases.


The new cases were drawn from a sample size of 2,063 people tested over the last 24 hours.


The Country’s total number of infections now stands at 103,014 with 1,795 deaths, as no new fatalities were recorded over the same period.

Kenya’s COVID-19 caseload is the ninth-highest in Africa. Apart from the nine, no other African country has reported more than 100,000 infections.


Also recorded in the last 24 hours were 242 recoveries, taking the total number of people that recovered from the disease to 85,250.
