KTN news anchor Zubeidah Koome was on Saturday overwhelmed by emotions and broke into tears after a birthday surprise live on air.
The TV anchor took to social media to share a clip of the surprise and thanked all those involved.
“Nothing beats the feeling of knowing that there are people that love you…thank you for this birthday surprise @miss.ashafox @beckymuiruri @aggygakunga and for making me cry on National Television.
“I love you so much…and you know I do…thank you for making me feel special and for making this day memorable…nawapenda sana,” she posted.
The TV anchor further narrated how the crew of a Kenya Airways flight called out her name during a flight to wish her well on her birthday.
“It’s was midnight, the captain was making his announcements, and little did I know he would call out my name….why?… to wish me a happy a happy birthday…I almost jumped out of my skin…overwhelmed with happiness,” she said.
“A lifetime experience…celebrating my birthday at an altitude of 40,000ft….this day will forever be treasured…a special thank you to my husband, daughter, Captain and crew of @KenyaAirways and my friends….I love you all,” she added.
