Kenya Records 194 New COVID-19 Cases

Kenya’s Ministry of Health (MoH) on Tuesday announced that the country has registered 194 more positive coronavirus cases. This brings the total tally of the country’s cases to 104,500.

39 more patients have recovered, 3 from the Home Based Isolation and Care while 36 are from various health facilities. The total recoveries are now 85,665.

Unfortunately, ten more patients succumbed to the disease bringing the total fatalities to 1,837.

This comes a day after the Health Ministry announced it would allow some private pharmaceutical companies to import Coronavirus vaccines to complement government efforts.

The COVID-19 vaccine advisory taskforce Chairman Dr. Willis Akhwale also said that final touches have been put in place to ship the first four million COVID-19 doses before the end of February.

Dr. Akhwale said the vaccination exercise will take off in two weeks.
