In a detailed YouTube video prone to drive you to tears, the former presenter stated she fell ill a few days after giving birth and she was sure it was not related to her C-section scar.

A little tender moment as Huru welcomed his little brother home at the end of week one. It’s been quite the adjustment and not all smooth sailing, story for another day (toddler + newborn + first month 🙄) BUT there are precious bits and pieces ☺️ Meanwhile thank you SO much for your feedback on Part 1 of 4 of the series I’m doing in collaboration with #Lifebuoy called #MyFirst28Days (link in bio); some info on why hygiene and sanitation for babies can save their lives. More in the coming weeks and next week, details on why I returned to hospital 😳 #HelpAChildReach5 🤚 Edit: That Moses basket at the back is a gift from @totocarebox! I’ll have details of that and other gift ideas in another video soon 👍🏾

According to Janet, one day she was cradling her baby and things just went south. She felt woozy and sickly. The mother of two was then rushed to the hospital where a couple of tests were conducted to determine why she fell ill all of a sudden.

For three whole hours, the distraught beauty had to suffer through sharp pains and pure discomfort. No painkillers could save her from this. It was then determined Janet had gallstones which needed to be surgically removed.

According to the former news presenter, she had to undergo two different procedures which were done by separate doctors. The first procedure aimed at removing the stones and decompressing her gallbladder.

The second was done to completely resect the organ.
