Just Days After Tanzania Film Board Ban, Wema Sepetu Gets Another Blow

Tanzania actress Wema Sepetu has suffered yet another blow just days after the Tanzanian Film Board banned her from partaking in any film-related activities.

The ban was effected by the film body after the actress’s intimate video with a Burundian national identified as Patrick alias PCK leaked online.

And now, the Tanzania Drama and Film Actors Association (TDFAA) Kinondoni branch has also banned the actress, who is a member of the association.

Speaking to the press, Masoud Kaftany, the association’s spokesperson revealed that this is not the first time Wema has been involved in a similar scandal.

“Hii si mara ya kwanza kwa Wema kufanya mambo ya ajabu, aliwahi kuanika video ya makalio tukamuita akaomba radhi,” he said.

On October 25, Wema issued a public apology to the country after the video leaked online.

According to reports, police are looking for Patrick, who is alleged to be a conman and drug dealer.

Illegal drug possession

On February 4 2017, Wema was arrested with marijuana, with sources revealing that the government was after Wema to confirm if she was selling and using the drug.

Her ex-boyfriends Diamond Platnumz and Idris Sultan, singer Vanessa Mdee and rapper Ney wa Mitego, were also questioned by police.
